Rissington 9-11th September
Rissington race update:
With absolutely flying pace all weekend after doing 125 laps on the Saturday with the Tkm and the 125 gearbox ,which I’m so pleased with on how I’m progressing in with only being 3.5 seconds off the race winners pace in it. With the lap time of 35.3
we were ready for the Sunday,
When Sunday came we woke up to a thick fog this ended up staying low to the floor meaning race day started slightly later than expected.
Heat 1:
Started in 9th and made it to 3rd.
The pace we had in this heat and the manoeuvres I pulled of were just something else.
Heat 2:
Started 4th and fell to 5th
This heat we had slight trouble with being pushed off track during a fight for 5th several times but managed to keep the kart going.
Missed heat 3 due to not having enough time left in the race day because of starting later.
Final:
Started in 3rd and fell down to 5th
This final is a hard one to swallow,
I was in a fight for maybe a 2nd this weekend in the final but as it came round to be the said ‘final lap’ on the lap board we raced for another continuous lap.
The next lap however the checkered flag was not out but me and the other top 2 had slowed down. This gave the person in 4th to catch up to me.
As I was approaching the dog leg to make the corner the person in 4th went to make a move and ended up taking us both out.
I’m really disappointed this is how it ended up.
After this I ended up bringing it home in 5th
But on a good note it was a very positive weekend for pace and the practice in the gearbox.
Thank you retro for hosting another brilliant round
And most importantly
Thank you dad for making this possible for me
Full focus for llandow now ....
