About me - Lexi Fells,
My name is Lexi Rhian Fells, i'm 15 years old and live in Leicestershire..
my first go in a kart was at Teamsport in December 2020, i hadn't sat in a kart before then. it was 15 minutes with my dad and step brother, I loved it and was instantly hooked! My dad saw the potential and things went from there.
My dad and his friends are interested in anything with an engine, he had been involved with karting at high school, one of his life long friends was still involved with karting and raced himself,
within a few weeks we had found a chassis, we set to work on building MY kart!
A few weeks later, we had a running kart and were ready to try it out, we went to a local industrial estate and i had my first go in my own kart - i loved it.
By April i had driven round the industrial estate plenty of times, we had been to Tattershall kart circuit which is about an hour from us and practiced as much as i could to build my confidence. When May came around i was entered in my first competitive race at Ellough Park.. I came 2nd overall at my very first race meeting!!!
2 years later and here I am. It’s been an amazing adventure with hopefully lots more chapters to come ………….
