Fullbeck, 11th-13th November
Fulbeck - ‘O’ plate round report
Getting to fulbeck early on the Friday morning meant we could get on track nice and early on the action.
I tested both the gearbox and the TKM on the Friday and spent time really getting to grips with the track again.
Saturday practice was all about getting the kart set up ready to be on top form for the Sunday race day!
…..But we found that my race engine wasn’t performing as well as we would have hoped , so we changed over to my engine that hadn’t had a rebuild since round one back in April and was well overdue !
We had to put full trust in this engine and as usual it performed perfectly and surprised us all massively - kinda wish we had used it all year now
Sunday rolls on ….
And the weather is incredibly foggy but race day still goes on
Heat 1:
P12 - P6
Really felt at home in the kart in this heat and made my way up the field quite quickly grasping 6th on the last lap.
Heat 2:
P6 - P3
Managed to get into p3 by the 2nd lap and keep a hold of it right until the end.with the fog clearing we made slight changes to the set up for heat 3 …
Heat 3:
P2 - P2
A pretty relaxed heat as there wasn’t much of a battle between me or any of the other juniors but managing to keep P2 gave me a strong hold for a good position in the final
The final arrives …..
P2 - P3
With a slow start I slipped down into 5th on lap 1 but by making a move I brought my self in to 4th coming into lap 2
In lap ten the runner in 3rd had an off which then resulted in me taking 3rd place!!!!
Thank you so much to everyone that helped us out this weekend
Especially Matt rowland who is always a huge help to me and dad
and especially to
Scott mattock photography for the amazing photos
Season write up coming soon
